PO BOX 25466
TEMPE, AZ 85285
(480) 820-3451
Attendance: Glen Foulk, Lisa Juarez, Tyler Dixon, and Peri Swenson from Kinney Management.
- Meeting called to order at 7:01 p.m.
- Review and unanimous approval of meeting minutes from September 12, 2007.
- Review and acceptance of the income statement dated September 30, 2007.
- New Business:
- Reviewed quote for granite along 144th Avenue for $49,000. Motion to approve and unanimous approval for work to be done 1st quarter 2008.
- Motion was entered to increase the assessment to $35/month. This increase will cover anticipated increases in annual operating expenses. It was noted that this is the first increase since inception of the HOA in 2000.
- Notice will be sent out in December to advise residents of the increase (in coupon books and with ACH payments).
- Motion to approve 2008 budget with changes received unanimous approval.
- The Design Review Committee forms that had been submitted received unanimous approval.
- Old Business:
- The Gain (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods) Event of October 20, 2007 was discussed. It was a good event that had much support from the city of Goodyear.
- Open Discussion
- There was good response to the notices of unkempt yards. There was an effort to notify homeowners of the instances and in most cases the issues were resolved promptly.
- No residents were present other than the Board Members listed above.
- Peri presented 2 examples of signs to be used to notify homeowners of the meetings on the day they occur. A decision was made to purchase 4 of the less expensive signs for $250 and place one at each entrance to the neighborhood on the day of the HOA meeting.
- The Board has elected to continue using Bob McCullough for legal issues. He has left Snell and Willmer and has a private practice.
- A mailing will be sent out in December to residents regarding the new architectural form and the new assessment. The new forms will be placed on the website.
- Adjournment at 7:40 pm.
Respectfully Submitted,
Tyler Dixon
Treasurer
