Village Pkwy Closed at Litchfield Rd
September 6-15 (Updated 9/1/2022)
Litchfield Road traffic is currently shifted to the east side of Litchfield Road for crews to conduct work to construct a roundabout in Litchfield Road at Village Parkway.
Scheduled to take place Tuesday, Sep. 6 through Thursday, Sep. 15, Village Parkway will be CLOSED on the west side of Litchfield Road, between Litchfield Road and the east end of the Rose Park median, with no access to or from Litchfield Road at Village Parkway, for crews to conduct work in this area. Due to equipment issues, the scheduled pave date on Litchfield Road was rescheduled from Sep. 12 to Sep. 13, so the traffic control change adjusted as well. Village Parkway should be re-opened to traffic by Thursday morning, Sep. 15. During this time, Village Parkway can be accessed via Wigwam Boulevard to Park Avenue, and detour signage will be in place to direct travelers around the closure.
In addition, the sidewalk on the west side of Litchfield Road remains closed south of the Cachet entrance until Sep. 19 with detour signs provided to reroute pedestrians.
Scheduled to begin Monday, Sep. 19, Litchfield Road traffic will be shifted to the outside curb lanes, still one lane in each direction, for crews to begin work in the center of the roundabout. During this work, which is expected to take 2-3 months to complete, no left turns will be permitted to or from Litchfield Road at Village Parkway.
Thank you for your patience during construction.

Dear Community Manager,
The city of Goodyear is working with its contractor, Metering Services, Inc., to replace old water meters across the city. The work is scheduled to begin on January 11, 2021.
Residents with water meters identified for replacement will receive notification in the mail prior to the replacement. The water meter replacement process at each home will take less than an hour and requires a short water disruption of about 10-15 minutes. Work will take place only at the water meter location and does not require access to other areas of the property or home.
Prior to switching over the meter and shutting off water for a brief period, the workers will notify the resident by knocking on their door.

A Letter to the Homeowners
February 20, 2020
Dear Sunrise at Wigwam Community Members,
All homeowners were asked three years ago to refresh the exterior paint of their homes. Although many of you have already re-painted, the original paint that is on a majority of the homes in the community has faded and deteriorated. It is now time for those who have not painted to get this work submitted and scheduled. Notice will begin to go out for the homes that have not painted with a request to paint within 6 months. Homes that still have not painted after the 6-month notice may be cited for unkempt maintenance if they are not repainted.
The Design Review Committee (DRC) has approved palettes of various paint colors from Sherwin Williams that are available for review on the community website at www.wigwamhoa.com. You may choose from any of those color schemes and simply fill out the submittal form with the scheme you are choosing when painting, or if you would like to choose your own desert toned colors, you can do so and include color samples with your request. You may also submit a request for your home to be repainted in its original colors. The submittal form is on the website on the HOA Docs & Forms Tab.
If you have already painted your home but did not submit a request in advance to the DRC for approval, please submit the request now with some type of verification of the work completed so that the work can be approved by the DRC and your file noted with this information. If you have any questions or need assistance regarding exterior painting please contact your Community Manager Camala Hartley at camalah@kinneymanagement.com or (602) 973-4825 x209. When we come back into the planting season, please look at your home for compliance in the number of trees and plants you are required to have in your front yard area. Note these are minimum requirements and you are encouraged to have more plant material than this if your yard size allows for it. You are required to have 2 (15 gallon) trees, 3 (5 gallon) shrubs or cactus, 6 (1 gallon) shrubs and 4 (1 gallon) ground-cover. Potted plants or flowers are not included in the minimum requirements and silk or plastic plants are not permitted in front yards. If your yard is missing several of the minimum requirements, you will receive notice to plant replacements prior to the spring planting season.
Maintenance of front yard landscape, trash containers not properly stored and on-street parking are still the violations most frequently written up for notice to members. Please remember that your yard should be free of weeds and be trimmed and mowed on a regular basis, including trees or shrubs growing over walls into neighboring lots or into sidewalks or common area. Trash containers should not be visible unless out on collection day and all resident vehicles are to be parked in the garage or driveway for the lot. Bulk trash must only be placed out on the street a few days prior to the pickup date schedule with the City of Goodyear. It has become quite a nuisance for neighbors for the community when bulk items are left out for long periods of time causing items to blow away and obstruct traffic.
You should have received the statements for making your 2020 assessment payments. State Law now requires that monthly homeowner association assessment account statements are to replace the coupon book you used to receive. We recommend homeowners opting-in to the electronic statement in order to save money and help us keep our HOA dues as low as possible. You do not need to make any adjustments to how you make your payment, the only difference is the new monthly statement instead of the coupon book if you mail in a check.
We invite you to attend the quarterly association meetings to be informed as decisions are discussed and made. Meetings are held quarterly on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at Western Sky Middle School. Our next meeting will be Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 7PM. If you are not able to attend meetings, the minutes are archived on the association website along with other information at www.wigwamhoa.com.
We appreciate your efforts in making this a great community to live in and we look forward in facilitating you in this goal.

Only Four Holiday Interruptions for Trash/Recycling pickup
Goodyear's trash, recycling and bulk collection providers observe four holidays:
- Thanksgiving Day (Fourth Thursday in November)
- Christmas Day (December 25)
- New Year's Day (January 1)
- Independence Day (July 4)
There will be no bulk, trash, or recycling collection on these days. Instead, collections will bump to the following day (for example: Thursday's collection will push to Friday and Friday's collection will push to Saturday).
Pick Up WILL Occur on Veterans Day
For all other holidays, even if city administrative offices are closed , there will be no interruption to bulk, trash, or recycling service.
For example, city offices will be closed on Mon., Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day; however, bulk, trash, and recycling should be curbside by 6AM on your assigned collection day for regular pick up. Find your assigned collection day using the city's solid waste day finder.
Find a list of trash and recycling dos and don'ts at goodyearaz.gov/trash.
